The concepts presented are interesting however, they are clouded by the horrible editing of this book. Can you say typo! The author has either not hired an editor to review the book for errors or hasn't re-read the book following his last edits.
Is the book worth buying? Sure, if you desire a deeper understanding of business intelligence, the internal functions of huge organizations and must know how they dominate the markets; this is the book for you.
I am reading this book as a required reading for Dr. Hayes-Roth's course at NPS and feel that it clearly reflects his views. There is very little difference from this book and having a conversation with him. If you are intellectually lazy and don't like your authors to assume a certain level of intelligence; you will hate this book.
