Rather, as the title implies, it is on "DSP Applications". The book is "using C and the TMS320C6x DSK" to discuss various applications of DSP, using dozens of illustrative examples with the C6x DSK. Furthermore, the book is not meant to be primarily on the theoretical aspects of DSP. There are many fine texts on theoretical DSP. Again, as stated in the title, the intent of the book is to emphasize the applications of DSP using the C6x DSK as a medium to illustrate.
